Domaine Alexis Pollier, Macon-Village

Here at myWINEcellar we’re always searching for the next big thing and with Alexis Pollier we think we’ve found it. Alexis is the 5th generation of winemakers in his family so there is definite pedigree there, but he combines that with a modern winemaking attitude. His Macon-Villages is vinified mainly in stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness with a small percentage of the wine going into oak barrels to add complexity and depth of flavour.

This Macon-Villages is crisp, clean, and fruity. It has fresh notes of ripe citrus fruit, pineapple, and a touch of brioche. A real step up in quality from the usual stuff.

Food pairing – white fish, soft cheeses such as chèvre or brie, chicken in a buttery sauce.
