Domaine du Ferrand Châteauneuf-du-Pape

A big, bold and super smooth southern Rhone red! Lots of very ripe red fruit like cherry and raspberry. Very complex with notes of spice, Provencal herbs and flowers such as lavender and a touch of liquorice. Chateauneuf-du-Pape is famous for its big reds and Domaine de Ferrand is a beautiful example of the style. Made from 90 year old vines which gives a serious intensity of flavour, combined with organic farming and wild yeasts gives us an immensely flavoursome wine.

Food Pairing – works incredibly well with red meats and classic French dishes such as Wild Boar. The spicier Syrah in the blend pairs really well with Indian dishes, so unlike other French reds it works well with lamb or vegetable curries.
