Domaine La Luminaille 2eme Né(z)

We tasted quite a few wines from the Rhone so we were delighted to come across this gem from Julie Paolucci and Nicolas Brès. Rasteau is a small, brand new Appellation created in 2009 about 15 miles north of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.  An equal blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah gives this wine a very fresh red-cherry and raspberry fruit-forward flavour. Food Pairing – a very food friendly wine that because of its smooth fruity characteristics. Works very well with chicken, pork and turkey, think Christmas dinner! Because of its high acidity it is great with fattier meats like lamb shoulder or shank.
