Domaine Larue Puligny Montrachet ‘Le Trezin’
This wine is a real treat. One of our absolute favourites out of all the wines we have tasted – a stunning example of top-quality white Burgundy. A touch more minerality than its new world counterparts with very gentle use of oak (only 20% new). Only 6,000 bottles are made every year from some 65 year old vines, so this is a small producer really taking their time to create some gorgeous wine. Subtle on the nose but this is to be expected for oaky chardonnay. On the palate, you get some fresh lemon and grapefruit followed by some tasty butter, vanilla and toast. The finish is super long!
Food Pairing – a classic wine that pairs perfectly with crab, lobster, scallops, grilled fish and excellent with Sushi.
