At a recent tasting we were immediately drawn to the modern design of this South African Chardonnay. However, we know that you can’t judge a book by its cover, or a wine by the bottle, so we poured a glass and we weren’t disappointed. This is a beautiful example of a new world chardonnay; it is fresh and fruity with a little bit of buttery toast on the nose, followed by some more tropical fruit like pineapple and papaya. The light use of oak gives some more body and adds a creamy weight to go with the long zesty finish.
Food Pairing – chicken or pork with a creamy sauce or a comforting fish pie. The team at Mulderbosch love it with cured meats and cheese.
