If you love smooth & juicy Argentinian reds, then you’ll love this premium full-bodied dozen!
We’ve got a few of the more traditional varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc along with some delicious but slightly more unusual Barbera!
Malbec is a grape variety traditionally found in South-West France, but this punchy variety is really making a name for itself in South America with some of the best known names (in this case Queen of Argentinian wine Susana Balbo) making this variety truly shine! It’s full bodied, with a touch more ‘oomph’ than Cabernet Sauvignon and full of plumy, dark fruited, chocolatey goodness!
Barbera is a grape usually found in Italy, in Piedmont to be precise. It’s super fruity when made in Argentina and has a smoother more rounded flavour with a little more red cherry, raspberry, blueberry and herbs. This wine from Vallisto, is a real hidden gem, not to be missed. Click on the little red squares below for the full tasting notes on each wine.
