‘Petritis’, Limassol, Kyperounda Winery
Ever had much Cypriot wine? No, we hadn’t either but this is delicious! This is the Xynisteri variety, pronounced Sin-ees-ter-ee and it’s a native variety that the Cypriots generally keep all to themselves. This wine has striking citrus fruit, candied lime, lychee and because of a touch of oak you get some vanilla and a bit more body than usual.
